Famous non-Japanese gyarus? :)
Okay, I'm very curious about one thing... Are there any famous/"famous" (like Internet famous) gyarus in your country??
In Sweden, there is a girl called Rika, who is (or at least she was last year) a member of Angeleek!! I think she lives in Japan at the moment.
This is her blog: http://tokyotricktheater.blogspot.com/ Sadly, she doesn't write much now a days on her blog, since she's busy...
There's also one other girl that is quite Internet famous! She's called Foki and she's very inspired by the gyaru style (not sure if she calls herself gyaru though). This is her blog: http://fokis.se/ I think she has a very cute style!! ^___^
Both blogs are in Swedish, sorry!~

Hannie Dropkick is reasonably well known as a very good gyaru. Then you have Pin, and her gal-sa G*U (Glamorous Unit).

Monica (Norway) from Bulaklak is highly popular among many on the online community. Hannie Dropkick and Pin are both well-known, also a person who everyone knew on the online gyaru community was Yari but he left a while back (don't blame him), he was the reason I got in to gyaru and had always been very nice to me.

I've no problem against Hannie, but I don't follow her either, no myspace/facebook haha I do, however, LOVE her eyelashes and by extension how she does her eye make-up -- I love heavy eye make-up so much. I also really want to get my hair dyed the colour Monica has it in the picture YanYan provided, it's gorgeous!

Yari isn't popular. He was only famous for being a bitch, style-wise and makeup wise he really wasnt that great.
He's not even on the gyaru scene anymore and Booteek doesnt exist.

German girl, Vanessa is famous for being on a TV show wher she tried to join the gal-sa, Charasen. She's an illustrator and model too
I havent search of this Foxi girlo before but she's really cute!

Irrelevent.
This thread is for famous non-Japanese gyaru and as you've just said yourself Yari is/was e-famous. I'm no fan of his, but I like most people already knew what you pointed out. Sorry if it sounds like I'm kicking off but you sounded really harsh against YanYan just because she posted a gyaru that fit the specified criteria.

She didn't ask for popular western gyaru just famous ones, as in a lot of people know them. I know BOOTEEK doesn't exist any more as I am from England and I also mentioned that he's not on the gyaru scene any more. Most people thought he was a bitch but he defended the western gyaru community on more than one occasion. His style was better than most western gyarus today and were back then. Everyone has a nasty streak in them, everyone bitches and everyone lies, but people can also be good. Yes he bitched but he also defended people and called the gyaru_fucks community out. Also, another note read what I've put before trying to tell me something that I already know.

Sorry I didnt mean to come across as rude. I wasnt trying to attack yari; he was one of the first people i spoke to when i got interested in gyaru style after all.
I wouldnt consider him famous though. Newer gals have no idea who he is. Only Gals who were in the scene 2 years ago know anything about him.

Re: Famous non-Japanese gyarus? :)
Well, that may be so; newer Gals may not know him or BOOTEEK unless they have done extensive research into the Western comms etc etc But I haven't even been on the gyaru scene for a year yet and I'm aware of who he is, so two years is a bit too much. I think he is more famous in the UK than elsewhere so maybe it's more the UK Gals that know of him. I'll apologise if my comment was rude, it's just so hard to convey things effectively when it's not said in person.
