Lashes~
Hey gals~
Just wondering, how many of you wear falsies? And if so, where do you buy? How much do they cost on average? I just want to figure out roughly how much I would need to save up for them. Also, what brands should I look, or look out, for?
I found some at my local Shoppers Drugmart that were Quo and they cost about $7, but I wanna see if there are any better/cheaper. Thanks gals!

Re: Lashes~
usually i got to a drugstore or a beauty supply store.
dont waste money on super expensive lashes..
I usually get mine for around 3-5 dollars.
but yeah if you wait until halloween then you can get a bunch for really cheap.
^0^ dont worry lashes are one of the cheapest part of the gyaru look. in my opinion anyway.
what you should worry about is the glue and the style
i suggest you use black adhesive. it bonds better than the clear kind9i havent tried the white one) and if you mess up a litle it just looks like eyeliner so its easy to blend.
the brand i use is called 'darling'

Re: Lashes~
I buy mine at Target. They were about 3$.
And a friend of mine told me about this store where you can get a HAUL of lashes for only .75$ each. And they were pretty good!
If only I could remember the name >.<

Re: Lashes~
I actually don't need to wear false eyelashes because my eyelashes are naturally really long, black and curl. Although Hikitty buys loads of them and I hear that criss-cross ones are the best and look the most natural when on. Over here eyelashes can range from about £2 - £17 mind you they could rise higher. I believe the brand for the ultimate eyelashes is Shu Uemura.

Ahhh I really can't remember the name. It's like a dollar store-ish thing somewhere.

Re: Lashes~
I don't plan on wearing them everyday, I'd just like to have some around, should the mood strike me. Or if I feel like glamming up for school randomly, hehehe.
But I'll keep looking, but for now I'm going to just buy the ones I've found.
Thanks gals!

Re: Lashes~
It looks so far like I'm the forum goer who uses the most lashes lol I guess I'm obliged to comment in that case.
I use them quite often and once wore them everyday until this just became impractical and my natural lashes started falling out faster than they would normally. So I stopped using them for a time to let them recover and I am recently getting back into it again now. The lashes I usually go for are either the ones with criss-cross lashes to add volume or lashes with noticeably longer lashes on the outside edges to give the eyes a sort of 'flick'.
Sometimes its good to buy cheap lashes if you don't plan on wearing them often, as after one use you can simply throw them away, but if you really want your money's worth I'd spend about £5 to £7 (roughly seven and a half dollars to ten and a half dollars. Sorry, I don't know what the half is in cents? Nickels? DIMES? Odd money haha You should just have pence and make it easy for me lol) on a set and then clean them up after use with a pair of tweezers to reuse them again. They have to be replaced eventually, but you can get a couple of months out of them before they get too unbelievably grotty XD
YanYan is right in that Shu Uemeru lashes are supposed to be good, but they're also expensive and hard to come by unless you purposefully set out for them. The brand I use is called 'Girls With Attitude' but they have the CRAPPEST glue in the world; I hate it!

Re: Lashes~
girls aloud just brought out a brand or false eyelashes. and boots has got a ton of different ones. what i would do is buy a cheap-ish set then look online see if you can get some good quality ones for a bargain and just use the cheap ones till you find a decent pair. cause everyone loves having the product straight away but its good to know youre gonna have good quality too =]

Re: Lashes~
I usually go to a trading company for many of my needs! I can get awsome lashes of many kinds there for about $2. I found the perfect thick, long black lashes for manba there. They also have some with jewels, colors, sparkles and all kinds of other patterns and styles.
