CUrl your hair then seperate the curls to make yoru hair appear bigger of Krimp your hair then seperate them to make your hair appear bigger.
and if you cant do that buy a bumpit..though I havent met many people who have been super pleased with the looks they get as a result of this...here is a review of one.

Re: Manba Update!!! Hows it coming?
Ok. Here's what I got. I tried the best I could to get my hair as high it would go. I leaned it all towards one side mostly, cause the bow is on the other side (and my hair is thinner on that side). But I blow dryed upsidedown, hairspray, tease, hairspray, tease, hairspray: held up the hair with hand then use blowdryer to freeze hair in that position. It worked well actually, in getting my hair up as much as I could get it and it not look ratty. I get comments from you all about my hair looking ratty (not a bad thing, it helps me figure out what to work on), so Ive been trying to figure out how to make it not so much. >.<
And that is the bow I miraculously threw together this morning. >.<
Sorry the pictures turned out blurry. my friend forgot to turn on the closeup.

- Tan body more
- Make eyelashes longer if you're going to put them in
- Make eyeliner lines on bottom thicker
- Try drawing eyebrows on
Apart from that I think it looks really good.

Re: Manba Update!!! Hows it coming?
the only thing that i can think to say that hasnt been suggested is either keep the bow or get rid of the butterflies. In this case its just too much going on in on in one place.
May I suggest that the next time you get some money buy a wig and have it custom cut so that it will go with your manba! Especially since you cant seem to find a good way to tease your hair at the moment.
If you're doing manba your hair needs some color...

Re: Manba Update!!! Hows it coming?
I was experimenting with my hair, for the right manba look for me. I was able to get my hair teased nicely, but I also found that I really like the whole head of braids better, and right now, braids are growing with manba I was talking to Manami-san about possible hairstyles for me, and she suggested braids. So I did, and personally, it looks a lot better, and doesnt frizz.
I also decided a different way to do my make. I dont want to use so much white, but instead I will be opting for less white. Im also going to lighten the skin color as well. I used to like the darker chocolate brown, but now that I am started to (get older maybe?), Im not as much a fan of the really dark color. So that will be lightened up too.
hopefully, once things get settled down, I will get some more updated pictures up for you all.

Yeah, I love the braids, and its perfect for me cause I have hard to manage hair, and braids solve a LOT of issues with that. T.T I really appreciate your comment!!!!!!! ^.^ Im going to definitely lighten the dark color, contour my brows more, use less white, and possibly go with a baggier style (like the current '09 manba). I like baggier clothing than the skirts and such, and they look better on my form.
It is very difficult to be a manba in Western gyaru society, because many gyaru (not all), judge you already due to the fact you are not Japanese or a member of Angeleek. I am NOT speaking for all gyaru. Im just saying many. I dont believe anyone on this forum is like that, since everyone is very helpful and I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!
So Im not trying to sound biased or rude or stereotypical. Honestly. ^.^ Im just saying western gyaru society is tough. Of course, Japanese gyaru society is tough too. But are not judged on if you are a member of Angeleek or not. Its more fashion, make and hair and personality wise in Japan, according to Manami-san.

I think western gyaru society is harder because of the fact that if your not right you can't do and that you have to follow everything to 'T' but I what I like about manba/banba fashion is that its not in mainstream anymore so you kinda take the basics and make it your own. Like my favorite example of western manba is Pin and not because everyone likes her but she truly took the style and made it hers with the stuff she has in her country and then getting things here and there from outside. Her and Lisha are my manba inspiration I hope to one day be as good as them. So don't worry to much, look a pictures and apply it to your closet. I don't consider this a style that someone goes through I consider its lifestyle

Re: Manba Update!!! Hows it coming?
1. Tan or use darker foundation...it doesnt have to be as dark as your first triral but manbas are known for their dark skin. Admittedly Ive seen a few pop up who dont have the darker foundation! Personally though...I think itll help pull the look together and help the white pop out
2. maybe put the color on the top part of your lid...and blend it into the white instead of just having it in the corner.

I agree with boba, Pin has some good tutorials that you can look at and then take it and go with any color and style.

Re: Manba Update!!! Hows it coming?
V.V
I said not to mention my lack of tan. V.V I know it helps and looks better, but at the moment Im dead stuck.
no money = no tanning products
cold = no way im going outside without a coat and gloves. xD
But once I start tanning again since I start work again next week (was fired for no reason, complained, and got my job back. Been out of work for nearly 4 months), I will be able to do more. I will see what I can do after that. I will keep you posted.
Im trying to find the right style for my face. And I have till March until our next event, which is a Shibuya Fashion panel and a ParaPara for Beginners and TraPara for Beginners tuto panel. I may just wear bright colored sweats and a bright t-shirt with WishFul logo on it and braided hair if I decide to do manba or banba. For gyaru kei, I already know what Id wear, so Im not stressed on it. V.V
OH! I forgot to mention,t hat I have this really pretty bright blue on my eyelids. You cant see it cause of the stupid webcam though. I may take a pic of the color another time. Its a really pretty color. I added a little bit more of that and some pink on the sides.
