Oh wow! Purple and red? I never thought someone could become purple... ._. Anyway, I'm not sure what you can do about that, but I'm so sorry hun. This is why I'm glad I don't have to tan. I can ask around though to see what you could possibly do about that.

Did you naturally tan or did you go to a tanning salon? If you went to the tanning salon, you went on for far too long and the girls manning the booth should have told you so instead of trying to get your money off you. You're probably too pale skinned to start tanning so quickly, you have to very gradually build up. You need to tell the girls about what happened, get their advice and then act upon it. I fyou went naturally tanning (at this time of year?) then it's just severe sunburn and you should use some aftersun to help it heal up.

Aloe vera is the only thing I smear myself with when I get sun burn, preferably straight from the plant. Shocked

When I first started tanning, I could go in for five minutes, and burn. >.< What I did every night though, was sleep with a cold, wet washrag on my face and chest. By morning, at least 35% of the redness would be gone. It also helps with the pain a little too.

Oooh! But watch out when it comes to water on a burn for too long, it will make your skin peel....

If the tanning assistant let you tan for 20 minutes and saw that you were fair skinned... she is an idiot. They are supposed to start you off at 5-8minutes.
