Hello!

Post  K1j3c on Sat Sep 26, 2009 12:25 am

Hey! My name is Kelly and i'm from the US. I love all the styles, if i went to private school i'd choose Kogyaru... however it would be silly because i go to public school! i want to try Hime gyaru- but is there a more "casual" verson of it? because i don't think i can handle the upkeep!! Or if you have any suggestions or just want to say hi. Leave one!

PS: I'm very VERY pale, and i swear it's physically impossible for me to get a tan, and i look like a zebra with a spray tan- so... basically anything that doesn't require a tan could work for me.

First of all you are so~ cute! Like wow you really are pretty and cute! Whereabouts are you from? Try hime-kaji (literally casual hime) or gyaru-kei. It is impossible for me to tan too I have the typical 'English Rose' skin aka too pale for any sun! >_< I use some cheap tanning wipes called 'Skin Deep' they're really good and not streaky, tanning wipes are generally better than other types of tanning stuff. Try the hostess style if you don't want to tan as that is very pale.

I love Ulzzang too! but i always think i have too much acne to pull it off... because their skin is always so smooth!!!! and i think i'm too curvy (and i have too much stomach!) to do a lot of things they do

Well hime isnt something you can really go casual with I supose... If you like hime style, fairy kei is like a toned down version... lots of lace, pastel colors, but to me it doesnt seem as high maintinance.

Honestly the style is between decora and Lolita.. which is basically hime.

To me, fairy kei is basically a fashion you can kind of do a lot with, you can go out all crazy and look more on the decora side with lots of super fun accesories, or you can get dressy and go cute and lolli with it... or if you don't feel like taking forever to put together an outfit, just throw on a cute lacy skirt with a pastel shirt, light colored tights and a cute pair of shoes I love you

Actually you can, it's called hime-kaji. Plus fairy-kei is from Harajuku isn't it? Gyaru is from the Shibuya and Ikebukuro districts.
