Glasses

Well, it finally came to the time that my eyesight got so bad I couldn't put off wearing glasses any longer. Only problem is the last time I wore my glasses was well over three years ago and as such I need new lenses and an entirely new frame. So I went down to get my eyes tested (my right eye is almost useless and can see fuck all) and I picked up my new glasses today. I actually kinda like them. I tried to get the style that I'd seen the Gyaru models wearing in their blogs and I was wondering what you thought of them;



What d'you think? And does anyone else wear glasses on here? I'm too scared to wear contacts incase I blind myself and lose what precious little sight I fear I have left so I'm stuck with 'em. (And yeah, I wear them that low down ... ... they keep slipping.)

I think it makes you look very edgy and gal, people who say glasses aren't gal really need a reality check because I see so many gyaru models wearing them I swear that some don't even need them! Personally I love your glasses.

umm i for one am a HUGE fan of glasses. I dont think it makes you any less gal for wearing them. They can actually be a very cute accessory if you get the right frames.
And I agree with Yan Yan's observation. I've seen so many gals wearing glasses and Im pretty sure they dont really need them lol!

Ah see I was lurking on the online comms and came across this little shit mouthing off about how 'real Gyaru' don't wear glasses, they wear circle lenses... ... sorry for having bad eyesight then! It just seemed like they were saying that circle lenses made you look more Gal than glasses ever could, it was a bit ridiculous but because I'm paranoid (and have hated my glasses since I was nine) I got worried. Then again, sunglasses are perfectly fine to wear pfft Hypocrite!

And I'll thank you for the compliment on my hair unless, of course, you were talking about poor contrast on your computer screen causing you to see things green. In which case online computer guides can help you fix that =P

I got circle lenses and I think that they help me pull off my gal look but only because it helped open up my eyes.

Glasses are lovely as long as they are stylish. And isnt that what a part of being gal is? Being stylish and sexy?

i wear glasses and gotta admit i wish my eyesight was good enough to get away with not wearing them sometimes but it isnt, i tried lenses but had problems getting them out of my right eye all the time haha used to make me so angry id just cry which obv wouldnt help!
dont normally take photos with my glasses on either ill see if i can find one....

i look soooooo pale! and im wearing fake tan aswell buuut ima go blame the lighting there hahaha
still after all my troubles thiking of getting lenses again after my holiday dunno though....

I think your glasses look stylish on you (I like your hair too) but, as with everything, if you've got one thing you want the opposite so I understand why you'd not want to have to wear them; I guess I'm lucky that I can see without them also. Respect to all the people who aren't cowards and actually try and wear contacts...

I think your glasses are adorable!!! ^.^ I love your hair too. Is your hair naturally like that? Thats how mine is when I have gel, so that the frizz doesnt get out of hand.

All the other girls seemed to cover everything I wanted to say. =^.^=' They are uber adorable, especially on you! They go good with your face shape and skin tone too.

Right, kiri, you've asked this before and I don't think anyone told you how so I will have a go at telling you.



On the post reply section look up at the buttons at the top below the Subject title box. There will be two buttons on that row which have a polaroid picture of a tree as their symbol. If you're still not sure hover your mouse over the buttons until you get them to read either "Host an image" or "Insert image". If you click host an image you will upload the image direct from your computer onto the forum's host provider but if you click the insert image button you will link the image to show up here from another source eg. Photobucket, Tinypic. I've hosted your picture from my computer and resized it to 320px (you're offered the choice when you host/insert the image).

Then you can center align the picture and away you go!
