I'm kinda scared to do it. I always do lots of "experiences" with my hair, without going to the hairstylist, mostly for my hair color. But I'm scared to cut my bangs!!!!!!
Do you have any tips for cutting my bangs by myself????

Seventeen magazine supports cutting your own bangs, but not the rest of your hair.
and they take you through it in that link. :3
I personally do it all the time.
Or used to, anyway.

My mother used to be a hairstylist. And she says that the most common mistake by cutting your own bangs is that the parting isn't even, so think about the whole parting shit. Well, I hope it's called parting, in sweden it's called "bena".. It's soo hard to explain!

i ALWAYS cut my own bangs. but its just like trimming it...nothing major. i do my own cuz for some reason whenever i go to a stylist theyseem to mess up o.O
um when i trim mine i put uh i think its index? finger and middle finger to the bottom of my bangs and cut over that. hard to explain.....
and afterwards i use a thinning scissor along the edge and the top layer of the bangs so it wont look so straight and edge...kinda ruff it up a bit idk

With me it depends how much needs doing. If I'm wanting a new style (ie. sideswept to straight across) which perhaps does need a bit of a professional touch, I'll go and get them done at the salon. Cutting fringes isn't expensive after all, especially a dry cut. If it's only trimming because it's getting too long, however, well then I have no problem doing that by myself. I prefer it actually; it guarantees it will end up the length I exactly want and not what my hairdresser thinks is best (which invariably ends up too friggin' short haha).

When it get's too long, I just cut them straight across like a box fringe. My hair hasn't grown a lot and I use extensions (including a fake fringe) but I've always done my own

I always cut my own bangs. It's easier to get it exactly the way you want if you do it yourself.. but of course, it's also easier to screw up than if you go to a salon :'D

I always cut my bangs myself the same thing happened to me, I cut it with wet hair thinking that my hair dries, it will be the same size ... so happens that I always left me dry your bangs shorter than usual!
