I use something like five different products to get my hair look nice XD
And they work when I want my hair to be and stay straight.

So you just have to but lots of stuff in your hair and then use a lot of hair spray XD I do that, and it works.
And when I wash my hair I use conditioner, so my hair wont fall of XD

But if nothing works your hair is just maybe that kind that it wont stay straight... 'Cause one of my friend has that kind of hair and she really uses every single product she can find to make her hair straight o.o

but I really think hair spray is the answer to every hairproblem XD

may i ask what kind of straightener you use?

I agree with taiji, use hairspray like there is no tomorrow. Use hairspray with the 'freeze' gel in it or whatever its called. That's extra effective.

you're hair has to be bone dry when you straighten it or else it won't hold the straighten and it will get damaged pretty badlyD:
and turn the hair straightener on super high heat if you need to.

i hope i helped Smile

use it during or after, dont use it before or else your hair gets messed up (its happened to me.)
it smells really bad and...bad experience.
also, I've never used it, but I've heard positive things about a brand called biosilk. I read somewhere that it really helps hair stay striaght for a long time.

I use the hairspray right after. If you're busy it is really slow to spray that hairspray once in a while to your hair,
so that's why I use it after my hair is ready to get hairsprayed XD

And Loreal and other brands like that have some products that should make your hair straight. I'm sorry I don't know the names of them...
You put it in your hair and straight it right after that or something like that. I've heard that works well too =)

i'm not quite sure myself haha
but i remember reading about it a few times and my hairstylist mentioning it to me when i had long hair.
i think they're like shampoo and conditioner that helps your hair maintain a style (tho i 'm not sure at all)
and yea, like taiji said, the loreal straightening stuff is supposed to work well ^^ my friend tried it and said it was pretty good.

How big are the sections that you straighten at a time?
I read somewhere else that Sunsilk Anti-Poof leave-in conditioner helps keep hair straight.
Also, I think you mentioned in another thread that you have extensions. Maybe that's part of the problem?
have you straightened it lately? How long has it stayed straight?

hmmm....i cold make the sections smaller....that might work....
leave in conditioner? i'll try it!~
no i just clip them in, and i just got them, so they can't be it.
it depends on the weather and what not....but usually for like...an hour....>_>;;;

On a rainy day nobodys hair stays staright. Also if it is windy I don't even try to get my hair look nice 'cause it won't stay like that...

And clip on extensions can be straighten or curled, cause one of my friends has clip ons and she can do whatever she likes to do to them.
But are your extensions real hair or not? 'Cause if they are something plastic fake hair then they won't work the same way than my friend's real hair extensions...

If the extensions are real hair then they can't be the problem...
Those are all the tips I could come up with. I hope it helps!
I wish you luck with straightening your hair ~

I have the same problem. This really helps:
After taking a shower, keep your hair wrapped in a towel for about 20 minutes[this will help with keeping a natural shine]
Then apply about a dime size to a nickle size, depending on how long your hair is, of hydration cream. I use Sunsilk 24/7 Hydra cream that comes in a pink bottle and can be found in any grocery store/drugstore.
Just comb your hair after that and use a heat protection spray.
If you have frizzy/wavy hair like me, then you should blowdry your hair before ironing it. It will make your hair stay straight much longer and it will be easier to iron your hair if it's already a little straight and not a gigantic fluff ball xD.

Wait about an hour or two so your hair won't be too hot and just frizz because of using your iron right after.

After that, section your hair.
Once you iron a strand of hair, bobby pin it up and wait for it to cool. I usually take those strands down when I get ready to iron the other side of my head.
Then just add a small amount again of hydra cream and spray with hairspray. Don't use too much if you don't want your hair to look rough.

I'm sorry if this was long, but I hope this helps. Sectioning and pinning up really helps. I tried skipping that step and I always found my hair frizzing throughout the day:]

If airdry works better for you than yeah^__^
With my hair, if I let it airdry it becomes unmanagable and it's harder for me to straighten. But, I'm sure airdry would work for you=DD

ok, so do you think this will work?

i shower, then i apply sunsilk, then i come, sleep on it and straighten it in the morning.

will anything in that process throw it off?

(btw bought some sunsilk~ ^-^)

Try using a Wet-to-straight flat iron. AMAZING results. Takes out enough moisture to keep it from frizzing (though you should still use some frizz ease formula just in case). The flat iron works on wet hair too, and has temp settings to adjust to hair type and how wet damp or dry it is. I LOVE it. Its the reason why I was able to cut my hair without it getting out of hand.

(Here's my natural curls. This was taken when I was still skinny in 9th grade. 115lbs....I weigh 148 now...*sniffle*)

(This is the after)
