Today I got my GCSE results! In the UK you take usually around 9 or 10 exams and the results will enable you to either get a job or go on to further education. These are usually sat around May/ June time at the age of 16. These exams are of very high importance. See grading system in link.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Certificate_of_Secondary_Education

I got

4 As in: English Literature, English Language, Religious Studies and French
3 Bs in: Maths, Drama and Art
1 C in: Biology
1 D in: Geography (but all of the class did appallingly bad, as we had really shit teacher)

My parents got me a new phone (LG Viewty Smart CG900), laptop and I am getting some more ear piercings.

I am so~ relieved that they're over! Is there anyone who has got their A-levels or GCSE results? Or any exam of significance?

Congratulations on completing and passing all of your exams!
You did a good job, lots of A's and B's!!
&
It's summer vacation still here for me in the USA but,
this year I will be a Junior in High School which means a lot of
rigorous tests called the SAT's... they are what colleges look at when you apply.
It's a really big deal but I still have time before them.. but I DO NOT look forward to when I must take them!

In Canada we only have provincial exams and from grade 10 to grade 12 you have to take them. Me being in grade ten this year I had three tests. Science, Math, and English. I barely passed on my science which barely passed me in the course. Math I did fair but I was already getting a high mark in this class, but this math class isn't the traditional math it was the lower level where you just learn the basics. This year I'm going back into the higher level so I take grade 10 math again in first semester and second I take math 11. English I passed with flying colors compared to the grade I was getting in the class. I don't think my teacher expected that, seeing as I was getting such a low mark. Grade 11 will be a better year -.-

We have SATs in England too, we take them when we're eleven. We have these weird tests called CAT tests too.

Art - C
Biology - A
Chemistry - A
English - A*
English Literature - A
Geography - D
German - A
Maths - A
Religious Studies - A

I cried when I got my Arts result, I've been A-grade in Art for the past five years and to suddenly fail like that was tough. The teachers and Headmaster are going to get my results re-evaluated because it looked odd, so hopefully I will be able to get a better grade. And Geography? Yeah, apparently everyone in our year failed it, so no one got more than a D! Bad or what?

I already have my own laptop notebook and I get a new phone every year so my parents gave me 350 to spend on clothes shopping for college. Heaven!

We can be English Language buddies Wink Well done for getting an A* in Business Studies, seems most of our year struggled in the class or just downright hated it haha
