I would join that club! (i'm 1/4 black)
Can't help with the hair, though. I have really thin hair.
And I sorta have a tan, but can pass for Hispanic or a tan Asian. ;p

Black Gal here too~ ^o^
For me, I wear braids. I'm surprised how versatile they are.
Then there's always a weave.
For natural hair though, I would love tips honestly.

Ok, I think I can help with hair!
Usually, you can tease up the hair without it breaking it (It may just be my hair IDK)
Pretty much, extentions are your best bet if you don't want to play with your own hair too much, plus it give the hair more body and lift for the big hair look. Also, if you do get extentions, try going more for real hair than synthetic(sp?) that way you can curl it without it burning and turning into goo DX

For short hair, try a bobbed look but remeber to tease only a tad unless you're going for Manba or Yamamba then you can go crazy!

If you wanna bleach the hair, be very careful and don't bleach too much. Keep away from heat and try not to add dye too soon or it'll break off. Bleaching is very dangerous for African American's hair and it will damage quickly if you don't keep the bleached hair moist and protected. (Believe me, bad experiences DX)

That's pretty much all I know.

meh I ended up having to cut all of mine off and have a minnie jerry curl ><; I'm so mad, but I still make it work, I want to try a wig but I'm afraid it will itch ><; I have such brittle hair, if I over extend it just a LITTLE, it ends up falling out so I have to keep in wet >w<

Oh don't worry about the wigs, they don't ich at all, and if they do you can buy a wig cap. It helps the wig stay on better too. w00t!

Medium length curly hair? Let's see...
Well it all depends on what you want to do with it.
1. If you wanna keep it straight, I recomend what is call a 'japanese perm' It's a type of perm, that is extremely popular with latino women, that keep the hair bone straight forever. Meaning if it gets wet, it won't curl back up again. Now this won't work on new growth, so once you get one you have to wait about 2 weeks before doing it again, plus it a VERY strong chemical that can brake off the hair, not matter what type. Make sure you have a professional do it for you if you decide to go for the 'japanese perm.'
2. Because it's medium lenght and not short or long, you have a lot of options pretaining to extension. You can add them to make it look thicker if you like your hair the length it is. This can be done by yourself or a friend which would be so much cheaper.
3.Teasing. Very simple, but dangerous for your hair length. Because you don't have long hair, teasing can brake it off so be VERY careful if you choose too unless you take extremely good care of your hair.
4.Color. You can bleach, but again be extremely careful. Bleach can damage all types of hair, and because it's not long you could end up loosing more hair if you bleach and don't take care of it. Never bleach and dye, you can use a rinse which is safer. Also keep hair spray oil with you. Spray and keep the scalp and hair oiled.
5.If you use hair spray, (which I love) becareful as well, and make sure you use the right conditioner to get it out with, don't just comb it out, that breaks off hair too.
All in all, I should recomend that you choose a style that fits the face well and please use precaution when playing with your hair. I had the same length hair, and at one point I didn't really take care of it, playing with it so much, so now it's really short.

Oh, cool! I use anything Pantene...my damaged hair needs it. ;p Plus, it's relatively cheap.
