Anyone heard of it? tried it?
I recently saw it in Popteen and was wondering if it was just a joke :/
It's a bit of an old trend, but still.

It makes sense, bananas are incredibly good for you as they release energy slowly and leave you feeling fuller for longer, you could live on just water and bananas for an incredibly long time because bananas have everything you need in them.

I dunno, eating one thing and one thing only, whatever it is, can't possibly be very healthy.

If you want to maintain your weight, eat sensibly and stay in shape with exercise, even if it's just something like walking. It's much better to develop good eating habits—portioned, balanced meals, small amounts of much sugar, few processed foods, etc.—rather than try crazy fad diets that you have no hope of maintaining.

I agree with Giuliam.

And I think that I read somewhere if you eat to much of the same thing all the time you could develop an allergy to it.

I don't think it means you can ONLY eat bananas ever. You only eat them for breakfast. Then through the rest of the day, you're free to eat what you'd like, but in controlled portions, etc. So basically, all it's telling you to do is to eat bananas for breakfast, and then watch what you eat the rest of the day (not starve yourself, but eat healthy), and exercise.

I think it is more of a "to add to a healthy life style" kinda thing then a diet

This. But more like, get into a healthier lifestyle, rather than add to one.

More info if anyone wants it:

http://morningbanana.com/morning-banana-diet-rules

Apparently you can eat other stuff, but I'm still not sure I'd try this over just plain healthy eating.

Parts of it sound really vague, like eat more or less whatever you want for lunch or dinner, but skip dessert. It doesn't teach you how you should be eating for those two meals. It sort of leaves those decisions up to you. (I know I have a bad habit of reaching for carbs like bread whenever I'm hungry, instead of filling up on protein or vegetables like I should.) Basically, if you eat poorly two out of three meals out of the day, eating a banana isn't going to make up for it, lol. Besides, desert isn't necessarily a bad thing, since you could have something healthy like a cup of berries or a few squares of dark chocolate.

Well, whatever. If following this kind of plan makes people want to be healthier...

It's basically saying eat just a banana for one meal, preferably breakfast which I suppose makes sense as it would give you the get up and go in the morning.

Hmm, I just read some of the info on the site.
I think I wanna try this. I mean there is always bananas in my house so it'd be easy.
Like it wouldn't hurt would it? I eat bananas for breakfast sometimes anyways.

yeah, It doesn't say eat bananas and nothing else.. it's actually the same kind of thing people have been saying forever, only now you're supposed to eat a banana 8D
(Actually it also mentions you can substitute the banana for another fruit of your choosing)
