Anyone know of hairstyles that I could do naturally? I'm an African girl (19) and I've become interested in gyaru, particularly onee-gyaru. Is there anyone that knows any good hairstyles I could do?

My hair is very curly and the curls are tight and my hair is thick. Think typical African hair. I wear it natural and I used to chemically straighten it, but the chemicals damaged my hair so badly it started breaking off. I'll post some pictures and you can see.

I thought about it a little, but I do want to show my original hair because it makes me feel more "real" if you will. Maybe I will buy one. Got any good sites?

what about having it relaxed?there were a few girls at my school with african hair and they found that worked best for them because it was one treatment,as opposed to daily starightning which is damaging :3 -xox-

Hello there ...well i,m african american and i usally get my hair relaxed and then i wear extension to add color to my hair, i usually get sew in extentions, in which part of my hair is braided then my extensions are sewn into my braids. Its less damaging to our hair and it last for a long time.

However, i only use extentions to add heigth and color to my hair so i wont hav to dye it kawaii my hair is cut short rigth now so to add a gal flare i put blonde or ligth brown extensions in it ...

t
there are a number of styles you can do , and if you dnt want to relax your hair then you can bye a wig or get a sewn in extensions, done at a salon...."unless ofcourse you kno how to put them in yourself" kawaii kawaii

Hey gal do what you think is best and follow ur inner gal kawaii

I depends what you're looking for. I'd suggest going for a brand that caters to African American women, like Beverly Johnson, Bobbi Boss, or Motown Tress. The texture of the hair will be a lot more natural looking. You can Google any of these brands to see what kinds of wigs they offer. Here's a site that sells a lot of them:

http://www.ebonyline.com/

It's really just about taking inspiration from what you see in gyaru magazines or other sources and adapting it to fit your looks and what's available to you. Any models come to mind?
